HEAVY ODER ,WAS?! Review
by Oliver Weinsheimer Translation by Sascha Maurer
The Songs Blackness(absolutely awesome), Hell Hath no
Fury, Ogre Wizard and Metallic Madness (YESSSS!!!!) are the
best Ive heard from the US Metal genre in years. They abound in untamable power and
you have to force yourself, while listening to them in the car, not to start head banging
like hell. Get this CD from www.overlorde.com, you will not repent! (Perfect
rating of 12 points)
TERRORIZER MAGAZINE Review by Chris Chantler
it's an utterly smokin' true metal masterclass. The band's
stripped-down-single-guitar-set-up has the effect of highlighting just how over polished
and polite modern power metal has become; savage melodies strike like lightning bolts and
vocals soar and roar out catchy titles like "Ogre Wizard". Fantastic.
9/10 (Note: 9 out of 10 Rating)
METAL HEART Review and Translation by Michael Kohsiek
In fifteen minutes and five seconds all the Helloweens, Rhapsodys,
and HammerFalls of this world will be destroyed and degraded to walk-ons.
enough to make this critic an uncontrolled, slobbering, mentally ill person
(suffering of an immense dose of Heavy Metal, of course!). Thank you, Overlorde. They

SNAKEPIT MAGAZINE Review by Matt Coe
These 4 songs feature new vocalist Bobby Lucas (ex SEVEN WITCHES) and his
expansive emotional range carries OVERLORDE to new heights on songs like
Blackness and Hell Hath No Fury. Notice the 70s PRIEST
influence from the guitar riffing of Mark Edwards in my favorite cut- the quicker
Ogre Wizard. The band has carried on without missing a beat from the EP days-
Theyll be signed to some worthy label by 2001 for sure- those who
love traditional true metal with out of this world bass playing need OVERLORDE- may New
Jersey arise again in metal glory.
GREEK METAL INVADER Review by Manos Koufakis Translation
by Antonis Adamakos
Sometimes miracles can happen in our music.
I was speechless with the quality and the raw power that characterizes the 4
compositions of their first demo with the new line-up.
The riffs of Mark Edwards are really Heavy while the rhythm section of Bunucci/Wrenn
will crush your bones.

Mark- great show at Powermad... I loved Hell Hath No Fury, Ogre Wizard,
Overlorde, and your cover was cool. I never thought that you guys meeting Bobby Lucas at
Powermad last year would turn into a killer performance this year and I am glad. Now all
we can hope for is the labels to come knocking with a cool deal so that we can hear an
album soon!!!

By all accounts, Overlorde were Saturday's winners, people going so far as to
chant for an encore. Featuring former Seven Witches' vocalist Bobby Lucas, the unsigned
New Jersey boys should be garnering more interest immediately, especially overseas, after
the tight knit European press corp files their reports.

THE VILLE 91.7FM, Pennsylvania, USA (WB Hendersons review of
POWERMAD 2001)
Overlorde is an awesome band. They play an aggressive brand of power metal
that's both fun to listen to and impressive when dissected into pieces, and, not
surprisingly, it translates well into the live setting. The audience, many of whom, like
me, were ignorant of the band until only recently, responded enthusiastically. Overlorde
ripped through a brief set consisting of songs from their new demo, like
"Blackness", "Ogre Wizard", and "Hell Hath No Fury", older
material such as "Snow Giant" and "Overlorde", and, in an impressive
showcase for new singer, Bobby "Leather Lungs" Lucas, a cover of Queensr˙che's
"Queen of the Reich" (on an upcoming tribute album). Rest assured, this band is
going places.

You guys were f****n' killer at Powermad. I had heard an mp3 before and was
looking forward to your set but was really impressed by you guys live, so much that I had
to buy Overlorde 2000 before leaving that night. Your style is right up my alley.
From PERPETUAL MOTION post by Tony Zangara (former writer for
SENTINEL STEEL)
When the band tore into the first song, I said, holy f****g Satan!! and
ran up to the front of the stage and it was head banging galore. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME
was the only way to describe their set, as the guitar riffs were so powerful, engaging,
and viciously metal while being utterly catchy and infectious, and Lucas' vocals were
absolutely stunning, - and EVERY SINGLE SONG was a masterpiece - even though this was the
first time I was hearing them, the riffs just utterly captivated me. I completely summoned
up tremendous energy from the depths of my reserves and spent myself silly during their
incredible set!
REIGN OF TERROR and OVERLORDE had the best, most powerful guitar sounds of the
entire festival...
I was just completely and utterly wiped after OVERLORDE took my f****g head
off
