OVERLORDE Official Website Pathfinders

When the Overlorde website was launched February 9th, 2000, the free fan club called FORCE RECON was also initiated. It was decided that the first 100 fans to join OVERLORDE FORCE RECON would be considered "Founding Members".

Remember that the original goal of the Overlorde website was to get feedback from fans and see if OVERLORDE should reunite. By helping to spread the word, FORCE RECON members were "paving the way" for that to happen, and "clearing the landing zone" for all FORCE RECON members that follow.

As such, "Founding Members" (those who joined FORCE RECON first), could be compared to paratroopers who jump ahead of an Airborne division to secure the landing zone.

These leading airborne troops are called PATHFINDERS. So FORCE RECON founding members are called FORCE RECON PATHFINDERS!

The 100th FORCE RECON member (and last to be considered a PATHFINDER) joined on February 5th, 2001, just short of the one-year anniversary of FORCE RECON. This also coincides with www.overlorde.com receiving its 6,000th web hit.

What makes the 100th PATHFINDER and 6,000th web hit especially important is that these milestones were accomplished with little major metal press, no formal promotion, no live shows, and no CD release on an established record label. The demo OVERLORDE 2000 wasn't even released until November 2000. Now with great reviews from HEAVY ODER WAS?, METAL HEART, and other major metal media imminent, the number of FORCE RECON members should not only continue to grow, but will grow at a more rapid pace!
