Every outfit has its scouts. The eyes and ears of the unit. FORCE RECON is this and more. A community of Overlorde fans that have helped make the band's reunion possible, and now stand ready to support the band's CD releases, etc. Think of it as a fan club/community/cyber street team.

The first 100 members are PATHFINDERS. 101 to 200 are RANGERS. 201 to 300 are RAIDERS.  Force Recon is currently recruiting MARAUDERS.

- Keep us informed on what you hear and think about Overlorde.

- Spread the word about the OVERLORDE WEBSITE and OVERLORDE 2000 to all your friends and fellow metal maniacs. E-mail all your fellow metal maniacs and mail out the flyer found below! Visit metal guestbooks and message boards!

- Be ready to fulfill "special assignments" or "missions" (see below) to help promote Overlorde.

Remember, fans like you made our reunion possible. Now, the more fans we hear from, the more successful the OVERLORDE reunion will be!

IDENTIFICATION & UNIT ASSIGNMENT

FORCE RECON members should always identify themselves using the following examples....

Overlorde FORCE RECON member # 70 (a Pathfinder) would use the abbreviation  OFR#70-P (or  OFR#70-Pathfinder)

Overlorde FORCE RECON member # 101 (a Ranger) would use the abbreviation OFR#101-R (or  OFR#101-Ranger)

Overlorde FORCE RECON member # 201 (a Raider) would use the abbreviation OFR#201-RDR (or  OFR#201-Raider)

Overlorde FORCE RECON member #301 (a Marauder) would use the abbreviation OFR#301-M (or  OFR#201-Marauder)

and be sure to include the FORCE RECON motto:

Do this when e-mailing, signing guestbooks, or whenever you communicate with fellow metalheads and FORCE RECON members!

WHY THE DIFFERENT DESIGNATIONS  WITHIN FORCE RECON?

The first 100 fans to join OVERLORDE FORCE RECON are considered the "Founding Members"  and are called PATHFINDERS. The 100th fan joined 2/5/2001.

The original goal of www.overlorde.com was to obtain feedback from fans and see if OVERLORDE should reunite.  The first PATHFINDERS were so enthusiastic that Overlorde did indeed reunite in July 2000 . PATHFINDERS helped "pave the way" for the release of OVERLORDE 2000 in November 2000, and like the Airborne Pathfinders they were named after, "cleared the landing zone" for all FORCE RECON members that will forever follow.

The next 100 FORCE RECON members (101 to 200)  are called RANGERS. RANGERS are Special Forces , who in this campaign have expanded the landing zone and solidified the foothold Overlorde has obtained in its world-wide metal invasion!

The 200th FORCE RECON member was recruited during Overlorde's show at POWERMAD 2001. The new designation for members 201 through 300 became RAIDERS (as created by ol' "Leather Lungs" himself!). Metal commandos daringly striking against enemy defenses!

The current designation, MARAUDERS (301-400) are inspired by the World War Two American unit "Merrill's Marauders". Special troops that operated behind Japanese lines in the jungles of Burma.

SUPPLIES

All FORCE RECON member are encouraged to this file and print out some OVERLORDE flyers to mail or give out to other metal  warriors! The flyers are set up 2 on a sheet, so you will need to cut them apart. The page format is US 8 1/2 by 11 (letter) size, which means it will fit on the larger European equivalent, but with some extra blank space.

This is the first fan-designed full-website dedicated to Overlorde, and is based in Germany (though it is posted in English). All FORCE RECON members (European or not) are encouraged to visit the following URL:

The site is kept "current" and contains additional exclusive items not found on the official Overlorde website. There is a QUESTION OF THE MONTH section (see SPECIALS), an interview, and exclusive pictures. As a member of FORCE RECON, you can download MADNESS (AN HONORABLE LIFESTYLE).

An unreleased track from the sessions featuring vocalist Rod Tyler Loiza, who joined the band in 1988 after the release of the EP. While the tracks for this song were completed, a final mix was not done. This is a rough mix, and is a very good indication of where post-EP Overlorde was heading in 1988. This song, with new lyrics, appears on OVERLORDE 2000 and RETURN OF THE SNOW GIANT as BLACKNESS. Join FORCE RECON (see SIGN UP below) to get it.

FREE OVERLORDE FORCE RECON WINDOWS SCREEN SAVER!

Screen saver for WINDOWS 95, 98 and ME PC's (not sure about XP- sorry, no MAC version).

1) Go to this link and download the 1.6MB file to a new folder on your PC.

2) Click on the file.

3) QUARTERDECK ZIP-IT SELF EXTRACTOR appears.

4) Choose SELFEXTRACT then EXTRACT FILES

5) The window EXTRACT FILES should appear. Choose the folder to "Extract To" (or leave as-is, defaults to the folder in which the exe file already resides).

6) Hit EXECUTE.

7) Close the QUARTERDECK ZIP-IT SELF EXTRACTOR

8) Using MY COMPUTER or WINDOWS EXPLORER, find the folder and click on the file named XARACUBE.EXE.

9) Choose INSTALL and YES to "create folder".

10) Hit OK for "Installation Successful".

11) The DISPLAY PROPERTIES window will appear.

12) Go to SETTINGS (next to the word XARACUBE). If prompted, go ahead and TEST.

13) Choose BENCHMARK then hit OK when prompted.

14) Click ENABLE TRANSPARENCY if you want that effect. Recommended settings are as follows:

Note: No need to do anything in the FACES section.

14) Hit OK twice to close the DISPLAY PROPERTIES box and complete the installation.
