OVERLORDE VOCALIST ANNOUNCEMENT! September 26^th, 2000

It is with much relief that OVERLORDE announces the end of the vocalist audition process. We know our fans have been anxiously awaiting the conclusion of this process. But we think you will find it has indeed been worth the wait.

With unexpected pleasure and excitement, we present the new voice of OVERLORDE. A new partner and band mate that will ensure OVERLORDE's world conquest!

We present to you ex-SEVEN WITCHES and ex-MORBID SIN singer  BOBBY "LEATHER LUNGS" LUCAS

For those of you who have heard Bobby with SEVEN WITCHES (Massacre Records), MORBID SIN, or his current Prog Metal band EXHIBITION (a band most-excellent), you know why we are so excited. And we're sure you are also. For those who haven't heard this phenomenal talent, you can read more about him and download MP3's from the websites listed at the bottom of this page.

"It's nice to have someone like Bobby in this band...with his voice, and overall enthusiasm, there's no stopping this band now."  Overlorde drummer Dave Wrenn said after the September 23rd, 2000 audition that finalized the union... "The world has no idea what they're in for."

Bobby himself offered this quote: "I have been a Metal Fan first and foremost for over 20 years now, and have been singing in Metal Bands for over 13 years- So I know a powerful and unique band when I hear one...OVERLORDE is one such band! I remember showcasing with the guys when I was in 'Morbid Sin' way back in 1988 at 'Escapades' in Jersey City, and they blew me away! When the opportunity arose for Leather Lungs to become a part of Overlorde, I could not refuse. It was Destiny. This union is Metal History in the making...All Hail FORCE RECON! All Hail OVERLORDE!!!"

For the audition process, Bobby learned all five songs from the Overlorde EP plus three previously unreleased  songs. This being almost a full set of live material , it puts the band in good shape for some live dates with ATTACKER in the New Jersey area that are already being discussed. But first, an October date has been set to begin recording the new demo. So it won't be long until the metal world gets its first taste of this  true "Metal Merger"!

Up until recently, Bobby successfully juggled being a member of both SEVEN WITCHES and EXHIBITION at the same time. Bobby will continue in EXHIBITION, a progressive metal band (we'll even try to keep FORCE RECON posted about EXHIBITION live gigs so anyone in the New Jersey area can check them out). But his recent departure from SEVEN WITCHES left him looking for a band playing the type of metal he truly loves and excels at writing in. TRUE POWER METAL! Meeting OVERLORDE at just this very time was truly divine intervention.
