LYRICS THAT HEAL

9/12/2001

(Posted 9/12/2001): On 9/11/2001, as yet unknown terrorists perpetrated a terrible attack on the USA without warning. The thoughts of Overlorde and our fans are united in expressing our shock and prayers.

Overlorde is based in NJ and PA, with some members living near NYC. As of now, no one directly related to the band or fan club has been harmed, but that may change as family and friends find out more. We can only continue to hope for the best, and ask for your continued thoughts and support for all involved.

Blood drives and donation drives are in process, with the need for blood donations being the greatest. We urge all who can to donate blood. We also urge all our American fans to fly American flags in a united show of support.

The above picture was taken during OP SAIL 2000 in New York harbor.  Admittedly not the best quality picture, especially since it was a hazy grey day. But it shows some of the ships (including a US Guided missile frigate) with the WTC in the background. In the air, flying over the ships, is a B2 Stealth Bomber.

The WTC is gone. Perhaps the other subjects in this photo offer a preview of the response to the 9/11 tragedy and the defense of our nation? Our thoughts and prayers go out to all in the government and military who will now need to make effective decisions and take dangerous action in response.

LYRICS THAT HEAL

OVERLORDE's "M.E." has created a special website for people affected by the 9/11 tragedies . The band has graciously agreed to link it from this website.

LYRICS THAT HEAL .

Here is how M.E. describes the website:

"I created the website in the hope that the written word can help heal the scars caused by the 9/11 disasters. Please visit and tell your friends about LYRICS THAT HEAL. A website of song lyrics which may help in this tragic time."
